Catalina Island Kayak and Snorkel activities for groups

On the protected, lee shore of California paddling doesn’t end when the weather turns colder - we’re open year ‘round for rentals, camping, and daily guided kayak tours! Located at the Descanso Beach Club, Avalon - just west of the busy harbor and closer to secluded beaches waiting to be discovered. Our friendly crew will teach you the basics and you’ll be on your way!

A 5% discount will be applied for 11 or more participants.
Try our 2 hr. “Journey to Frog Rock” for a taste of paddling & Catalina Island.
For groups with more time: “Fox Cyn. paddle & nature walk” (3 hrs) or the “Willow Cove Expedition” with snorkeling & picnic(4 hrs) will get you further from civilization.
If your group is spending the night, check out our “Meet the Morning”, or “Evening Paddle”. All tours are suitable for beginners, advanced gear is available for experienced paddlers.

A fun way for corporate, youth or family groups to spend a day
at Descanso Beach is to utilize the water sports equipment that
we rent, or take one of our guided natural history kayak tours.
We have designed an activity voucher which offers a number of rentals with similar value, such as 1 hr. kayak or 3 hrs. boogie board. Members of your group are able to choose which equipment they desire and turn in the voucher at the time of rental. At the end of the day, your representative will pay for the rentals at 10% off our regular rates. We accept company or group (school, church, scouts) checks and most major credit cards (AMEX, MC & VISA).
We would appreciate at least 1 week lead time to generate the master voucher, which will be mailed to you for copying for your group (3-up on a letter-sized page). If you have a group of children under 18 yrs., we need to also send a rental waiver for you to copy so that each child has a parent signature for permission to snorkel or kayak.

During the summer season, be sure to contact the Descanso Beach Club 310-510-7400 for your group's picnic or other festivities. The Beach Club is open on weekends during the shoulder seasons of spring & fall, and closes during winter. (Kayaking and snorkeling go all year with special winter paddle clothing or full wetsuits, come experience our gentle winters).
